Manifestation is a compelling idea that has captured the interest of many. It draws from various philosophical and spiritual teachings, emphasizing the power of our thoughts and beliefs. Prominent figures like Neville Goddard, Helene Blavatsky, and Joseph Murphy have shared valuable insights into manifestation, particularly through the "How Did It Happen" method. This blog post will guide you on how to become the person you aspire to be and live the life you dream of by applying these teachings.
Understanding Manifestation
Manifestation is bringing your desires into reality through focused thought, belief, and action. It operates on the principle that our thoughts and feelings shape our experiences. For instance, Neville Goddard taught that our imagination is crucial for creating our reality. He suggested that when we vividly visualize our desired life, we can attract it into existence.
Helene Blavatsky, a co-founder of the Theosophical Society, highlighted the importance of spiritual growth and self-awareness in this process. She believed that understanding the connection between all things could help us align our desires with the broader universe.
Joseph Murphy, known for his work on the subconscious mind, argued that our beliefs directly impact our reality. He encouraged individuals to explore their subconscious to unlock their potential and realize their dreams. For instance, people who have used Murphy's techniques often report significant improvements in their personal and professional lives.
The "How Did I do that." Method
The "How Did I I do that" method offers a straightforward approach to manifestation. It encourages individuals to visualize their desired outcomes as though they have already happened. This effective technique can be broken down into several key steps. It is one of the less talked about practices accredited to Neville, and the latest, he is said to have taught, but it makes perfect sense along with other of his approaches.
Define Your Desires
So, it's basically about having a goal in mind. Some people say you should focus on just one, while others aren't so picky, but I get why zeroing in on one can help you channel your energy better. Then, just ask yourself things like, "How did I do that?" or "How did that happen?" or "How did I make that happen so fast?"
These questions suggest you've already achieved what you want, which helps you get into the right mindset without struggling to feel or visualize the end result. Personally, I found it hard to imagine a complete picture and feeling any other way, so simply asking, "How did I pull that off?" or "How did that happen so quickly?" instantly got me into that state, and I had a lot of fun with it.
Let's be real, not all of us are naturally great at visualizing or conjuring up feelings, and that's totally okay. No single method works every time; it really depends on our mood, at least in my experience. So, it doesn't hurt to have a bunch of techniques to try out. I've also had success with gratitude, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to feel grateful, and then it's tough. But playing around with the "how did I do it, how did that happen" method can really help because it implies you've already got what you want (because you do—creation is instant), it was easy, and it's a fun way to get into the right mindset. Who doesn't remember something awesome happening out of nowhere and going, "How did that happen?"
The how's and why's aren't super important, nor is always imagining the same end scene. They matter, but doing something too rigidly and seeing little results can get exhausting. It's not sustainable that way. So, give it some time, maybe a few days, to really sink in. Or just stop when you don't feel like doing it anymore. That's perfectly fine; it's supposed to be fun, not a chore.
By keeping a grateful attitude and a joyful approach to manifesting, you take the stress and fatigue out of it and make it more sustainable. The Bible, which many teachers reference, also talks about gratitude and joy as keys to success.
As you apply the "How Did It Happen" method, make time to reflect on your progress. Keep a journal to document your thoughts, feelings, and any signs of manifestation. This practice helps you stay motivated and recognize the positive changes in your life. Research shows that journaling can increase your chances of achieving goals by up to 42%, underscoring its power as a tool for self-reflection.
Remember, the journey of manifestation is just as important as the destination, so make it a joyful one!
